Story
Commencing on 14th August this year I'll be driving from North Devon to Chemnitz in Eastern Germany via Norwich! A total of over 1,100 miles (1,760km).
A challenge for any car and driver, even for modern cars with all their new fangled gimmicks, like 4 wheels (it'll never catch on) and radios. I'm doing the journey in a 1977 Reliant Super Robin over a few days (however long it takes). The 'Super' part in it's name isn't all that re-assuring and the issue is probably not whether it will break down, but rather, how many times.
My chosen charity is the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. When I was a boy my favourite cousin Sandra Jane Apted died in 1986 of this horrible incurable disease, aged just 21.
Pictures of the Robin on the journey and perhaps the odd anecdote will follow as updates.
