Those closest to me know how hard it was a few years ago seeing my strong lovely Dad have a heart attack. After a stint in Frimley Park, he was transferred to St Georges in Tooting.

They looked after him amazingly well. He underwent an operation so unusual it was filmed live and played to students in a lecture theatre!

Thankfully, he survived and is fighting fit today. The British Heart Foundation gave me so much information on what happens, what to do and the recovery process. They also help fund research to try and help prevent heart disease.

I never met my Dad's parents (my grandparents) due to heart attacks and nearly lost my Dad to it to, so I want to help prevent others having to loose loved ones due to heart attacks and heart disease.
