The MND Association focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. If you or a loved one need practical or emotional support, call our Connect Helpline on 0808 802 6262, Mon to Fri between 9am and 4pm.

Story

This is a very sad week for family and friends as Sarah has lost her very brave battle to MND, she is an inspiration to us all with her bright smile and continuous courage.

We know you are the brightest star sparkling in the sky looking down on us all and heaven has gained yet another dancing angel.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank family, friends and colleagues for their kind donations to date. This site will now be open to any donations in Sarah's memory to help others with MND and hopefully find a cure to this awful disease.

with love xx

Hi, thanks for visiting our page.

I am currently training for the London Stadia Trekathon with my sister Debbie Helliwell and my mum Linda Oliver. The event takes place on the 1st September 2012 when we will be walking a total of 26 miles around the London Olympic sites, raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Our dear Sister-in-law Sarah Griffith was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2010.

Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive disease that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting.

MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe and there is currently no cure.

Through Just Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Just Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
