Given my fear of heights and vertigo, this should be a challenging one but, totally worth it to represent the amazing Alzheimer’s Society team.
1 in 3 lives are affected and devastated by this disease. Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, they create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice. They work towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.
As a Society, they are made up of people with dementia, carers, trusted experts, campaigners, researchers and clinicians. They are the UK’s largest collective force of people with unparalleled knowledge and over 40 years of experience addressing the biggest challenges facing people living with dementia.
Dementia is the biggest health and social challenge of our time. There are currently estimated to be 900,000 people in the UK with dementia. Many are undiagnosed and facing the realities of their condition alone. As a Society, and with the help of supporters, they’re changing that.
With your help they can give vital support to those who need it most, hold decision-makers to account, and fund groundbreaking research to transform the future for everyone living with dementia.
Your support and any donations are greatly appreciated ❤️ Thank you in advance! Wish me luck! 😬
