We are moving further, faster to help everyone affected by a brain tumour

Story

I am not a triathlon person.  My son Laurence keeps telling me that I can't do a triathlon as I cannot swim.  I can actually swim, I just usually conscientiously object to doing so.  I have loaned a wetsuit and am sure I can get around 1k of Loch Morlich eventually.  Then there is a mere 18k 'technical' mountain bike ride.  I'm not sure what's meant by 'technical' but its probably best that I don't find out before the day itself.  Everyone likes surprises.  I'm picking the lightest mountain bike we have so I can carry it if required.   If I make it to the 5 mile run it will be relief!

I am fundraising for The Brain Tumour Charity because two people I know died too soon of a brain tumour last year.

Andy Sims was a club mate at my running club, Hunters Bog Trotters.  As well as being an internationally renowned bioinformatics researcher working in the field of breast cancer, he was a vital member of many an HBT cross country team and an all round lovely guy.  He died aged 43, leaving a young family.

Philip Ines was married to Rachel, my aunt.  Charismatic, fun, and always within arms reach of a bottle of fizz, there was never a dull moment in his company.  He was a wonderful man who adored my aunt.  His death last year leaves a hole in our family.  He is very much missed.

If you can afford to sponsor me it will certainly spur me on while doggy paddling in Loch Morlich, and will be very much appreciated by the charity.
