Running for Hugo - to raise money for Samuel Pepys School Minibus

Saucony Cambridge Half Marathon 2019 · 3 March 2019 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Just over 2 years ago I took on the challenge of running to get myself out and about and get a bit fitter. Fast forward 2 years and it’s now one of my favourite things to do. My love of running is not just a hobby but my passion. I love getting out and feeling the fresh air against my face and if I can raise money for a good cause then it’s even better.
In March 2018 with a 13 week old baby I took on the challenge of Cambridge Half Marathon. My first Half Marathon and I loved every second. In the year that’s followed I have completed 4 10k runs, 15 Parkruns and the St Neots half marathon.
So on Sunday 3rd March I’m aiming for my second go at the Cambridge Half. Not only do I want to run it again, I aim to beat my previous time of 2hrs 38min and want to achieve a 2 hour run.........
In doing this I want to help a good cause and My son Hugo attends Samuel Pepys School in St Neots. Hugo was born with CHARGE syndrome a very rare genetic abnormality. He has attended Samuel Pepys since he was 5. In the last few years the school have had continued problems with vandalism of their minibuses and the school are looking to fundraise £14000 to buy a new one. So this is where people like me are trying to help!
Running the Cambridge Half is my way of giving something back to such an amazing school. I would love any donation be it just £1 as it all adds up and I appreciate so very much the kindness of those willing to help. If I can run 13.1 miles in 2 hours then I ask you to support me on that run giving me a really fantastic reason to get to the finish.
Thank you from Hugo and I x
