As a proud Ambassador for DKMS_UK and former Oncology nurse, I feel very privileged to be celebrating my 50th birthday in February 2022 – that got me thinking!

What if I could do something to raise awareness for DKMS around the number 50?

What if I made it my Mission to raise as much awareness and as many funds as possible?

I started playing around with ideas and Mission 50 was born!

What is Mission 50?

My aim is to complete some challenges and events linking the number 5 during my 50th year and whilst doing so raise as close to £50K as I can.

Let's be honest - 50K is A LOT OF MONEY…

Now I know this is a little crazy, but my motto has always been to #dreamitliveit!! Even if I just raise £500, that would be a huge amount more than if I hadn’t started this Mission.

Let’s see what we collectively can do!

Mission 50 will start on 1st February 2022 for one year.

I’m calling on my friends, family and you to join me in anyway you can. Whether it be at an event, donating an auction prize or sharing my page with as many people as you can…!

Every little thing helps to find potential lifesavers and raise the profile for DKMS.

One thing for sure it that it won't be easy! I'm determined to make a difference to the numbers of people registered to the Blood Stem Donor register and raise some pounds in the process.

13th April 2025 - PARIS MARATHON 26.2 miles

Summer 2025 - 17,000ft Family Sky Dive (postponed due to weather from August '22, April '23; August ‘23 and August '24)

Completed Missions :

10th July 2024 - Hosting a community 5km event and virtual 5km fund run / hike / walk

6th July 2023 Hosting a community 5km event and virtual 5km fun run / hike / walk

April 1st - May 31st 20203 - Hold My Hand Campaign £5 from every Perfect Touch Collection from Tropic Skincare will be donated to #mission50

MARCH 2023 - 18 mile Coastal Path Hike Torcross - Sharkham Point; Devon

Blood cancer Awareness Day and cake sale - 6th form college

JANUARY 2023 - Dry January

DECEMBER 2022 - 31 days of Yoga

OCTOBER 2022 - ;Virtual London Marathon, SW Coastal Path Hike Bantham - Torcross; Devon 26.2 miles

SEPTEMBER 2022 Snowdon Triathlon 17km bike, 14km hike, 5km & kayak

JULY 2022 - 2 Missions!🚴‍♀️

Virtual Ride to London - cycled the equivalant distance from Home in Devon to DKMS_UK HQ, London. 220.8 miles / 355.3km

Community 5km event and virtual 5km fun run / hike 

MARCH 2022🚴‍♀️ Virtual Ride to Germany,& 605miles / 974km each with Lisa. Minimum 10 miles a day for 31 days. Cycling the equivalent distance from DKMS_UK HQ to DKMS Germany HQ, (where the charity was founded)

FEBRUARY 2022 - Random& Acts of Kindness Raffle & 🏃‍♀️5KM race.

Anything to help would be a huge support. You know I am a huge fan of paying it forward and random acts of kindness and now, more than ever, I think we all need a little something to brighten our day and week.
