Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Claire's Dance Co is once again holding a charity fundraising performance on 9th July 2016 at the Crescent Theatre in Birmingham. This time in support of Birmingham Children’s Hospital Intensive Care Unit, who saved our gorgeous Charlie McIntyre, one of my Little Wigglers, who’s big sister Evie is performing with Infants in our show.
When Charlie was only 10 months old, he caught pneumonia & ended up losing a lung. We want to thank Birmingham Children’s Hospital for saving Charlie then, & for all the great work they do daily.
Lots of my dancers, including Sam Atkin (from Saturday
Infants), & Charlie Davies-Hobbs (one of my Advanced Juniors), understand first hand what a fantastic service Birmingham Children’s Hospital provides. Both Sam & Charlie are recovering from broken bones & surgery, & we can’t speak highly enough of the care they have received.
As children and parents living in Birmingham, I know this is a charity that is close to all our hearts. Take a look at this video. It puts everything into perspective... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADFs4L1B778
The amount of work that goes into a production of this scale (with 17 dances, 114 dancers aged 3-16 years, 18 backstage crew members, what feels like a million different costume requirements, & hours & hours of blood, sweat & tears), is immense. I'm very proud to report that the show has SOLD OUT. By purchasing show and raffle tickets, parents are helping Claire’s Dance Co raise money for the charity, however I'm sure there are lots of my family & friends, & those of dancers in the show, who won't be at the performance, but would like to help me achieve our target of £1,500 for this very worthy cause.
Please give generously & help support Birmingham Children's Hospital to continue performing miracles.
Huge thanks xx
