Story

March 2020 saw my Brother and Sister in Law Nick and Charis, Donna, his Mum, Millie, Alfie and Lilah his siblings, whole world turn upside down. Joe, our beloved Nephew, was taken from us far too soon at the young age of just 26.

After Joe died we went into the Covid 19 Pandemic, this meant that we couldn't have a funeral, or a celebration of his life for all to attend. The day of Joe's funeral I waited at the crematorium so I could look after my Nephew and Niece, (Joe's siblings) as well as my own two children with us all sat in our own cars, as we couldn't be together or have anyone to look after them with the new imposed restrictions.

Joe's first birthday and the first anniversary of Joe's death saw us back in lockdown and restrictive measures, once again unable to celebrate Joe's life together as a family.

I saw this Mountain climb advertised in a work group that I'm in called 'Women in the Fire Service' and I felt that this was a personal challenge that I would like to attempt, but also one that I would like to do in Joe's memory.

Joe died from an undetectable heart condition and because of this I would like to raise money in his memory, for the British Heart Foundation. I would be so grateful for your support, in a hope that no other family has to go through what my Brother in Law and his family have had to.
