Story

2019 is the year of big sporting challenges. It was something I decided, when I had no energy due to side effects of a medication I was trialling, that I wanted to pull myself together and start to be more active again.

So here I am, Brighton will be my first ever marathon - this is scary and it's taken me a while to set up my fundraising page...

The Chiltern MS Centre has helped me immensely following my diagnose of MS and during my medical trial, so I decided to run for them. It's a great community and I have been coming here on a regular basis, initially to learn about fatigue management and then to improve my fatigue through regular oxygen treatments (as shown in the photo collage above).

The Chiltern MS Centre is a charity and not publicly funded, so relies very heavily on support through donations. Many of their staff are volunteers and some have MS themselves.

So please help me and so many others, who benefit from this great centre through workshops, physiotherapy or meeting others in a safe and friendly place who understand the challenges MS can throw at you.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.  They also make “Gift Aid” easy - you don’t have to do anything other than confirm you’re a UK tax payer and meet a couple of other criteria. The MS Society will then be able to claim an additional 25% back from the government. In other words £10 can turn into £12.50 with Gift Aid.
