Oh I Miss you..

Peak District Challenge 2023 · 8 July 2023 to 9 July 2023 ·
Firstly, I’d like to say thank you for taking the time to
read my story and hopefully you can donate a little amount to a worthy cause. I don’t normally ask for donations for all the adventures I put myself through but have decided that this one time I would like to do something in someone’s memory.
A very close friend of mine passed away on the 18th Dec 2022, she tragically lost her battle with cancer at the young age of 50.
Her diagnosis was only less that a year ago which makes its even more painful to comprehend.
Suzanne Sculthorpe was an exceptionally loving, thoughtful and funny lady. She brightened up my life for over a period of time. I had the
pleasure of getting to know her fully over the last 6 or so years. We knew each other for well over 20 years and still to this day I will look at her picture and see the love that she exudes. We had a love hate relationship, whereas she would always tell me how she thought, with no hole’s barred. I sometimes wished she would be a little more tactful. That was her approach though and it worked for
us. She would often tell me that my dress sense wasn’t in keeping with the modern era and when seeing each other 1st thing in the mornings in the office, I could hear her mouth “Not you again”. I loved that lass how she was and all the time we spent together putting the world to rights on our numerous walks and meals out.
I will never get those moments back although they are stuck in my thoughts of
her.
Before Sue sadly passed away, she reached out to a charity “The
Chris Aked Foundation” who support children whose parents are suffering with cancer to have enjoyable memory making days. Sue arranged a couple of memory days but was too ill to partake but know her boys really appreciated them. The charity also offer counselling which is invaluable to whoever takes up the support.
So, for these reasons I have decided to run an ultra-marathon
on Sue’s behalf and ask that you make a donation to a cause that goes the extra mile for family support. All I have to do is run 100K in the Peak District which is the easy part.
Thanks Clive
