For many years I have been raising money to help a community in Kenya. New Hope is home to up to 120 children and in addition we support c100 families in the local community. Our focus is on funding education but during the pandemic and the cost of living crisis this focus has spread a little to ensure families could continue to survive and could eat.

Our fantastic supporters have again stepped up and whilst we are increasingly utilising our reserves we have been able to make sure that families were fed and weren't consistently going to bed hungry.

In 2021 I completed the London Marathon despite being injured. It was probably a bit of a mistake as 18 months later I am only just starting to run injury free again. I have been fortunate enough to secure a place in the London Marathon for 2023 so my focus now is on getting fit enough to be able to complete this iconic race.
