Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have signed myself up to take part in a 100km ultra marathon across the Oxfordshire ridgeway in 24 hours. I have just under a year to prepare for the challenge and as this will be second time I’m fully aware of the physical and mental test I have before me.

I have chose fibrous dysplasia for two reasons.

Firstly my mum was diagnosed  with fibrous dysplasia over 40 years ago

secondly to raise awareness.

Not  all diseases are visible to the naked eye but I know that the pain endure on a daily basis is unbearable. The endless appointments and trials as there isn’t the funding there for extensive research.

There is no cure so it’s all about management and the more research that can be done the more it will assist suffers.

Thank you for your support
