On the 8th September, I will be taking part in the Great North Run, the largest half marathon in the world! 

I am raising money for Diabetes UK, Lorraine Hough Tribute Fund. 

Brian Hough not only sponsors Unisun Athletic FC men’s First team and also our Mental Health Disability football team but he also recently became a manager, taking on the role as our Under 7s manager. 

Brian set up the fund around 10 years ago, following the death of his wife Lorraine, aged 44, who had dealt with the effects of diabetes since the age of 6.
The Fund aims to raise awareness of how to mitigate the effects as well as raising money for education and research.
Using his own money Brian sponsors the Unisun First and Mental Health Teams, in return we spread the word, promote a healthy lifestyle to young people and raise monies for the Fund.

To thank Brian for his kindness but also to help raise awareness I am running in honour of his Tribute Fund.
