Story
I am raising money for Headway having suffered a severe head injury in a climbing accident. I started running (off road away from traffic) as an aid to my recovery.
I have done the Neolithic off road Marathon (2004), entered a team in the High Peak Marathon (2005, 11pm start for 40 miles in the snow in March in the Peak District).
I view these as steps in my 'Journey of recovery' and see it as a opportunity to help others who have suffered brain injury and are finding it harder than I have done in getting back to their normal life.
I attempted to run the Ridgeway (86 miles) on the August Bank holiday, not specifically for fund raising but training for my next fund raising event, running the Pembrokeshire Coast Path (186 miles), starting on 27 May 2006 and finishing on 1st June.

So if you feel you can contribute for my past events or in anticipation of the next, go ahead.
Brain Injury can affect anyone at anytime, road traffic accidents being a major cause.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Headway - the brain injury association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support. Colin Watts
