Story
So I can no longer sit by and watch people that I know or care about suffers why they watch their family members lives come crashing down around them without the support and I definitely cannot keep watching the News or Social media to see that another soul has lost their life because they feel they have nowhere else to turn.
So I have decided that it is time to make a stand and help to support a charity that wants to help and support families. It would be to easy to say that Health and Social Care should support Mental Health but the sad truth is that their is not the money to give and these Charities need to rely on others to raise money for them.
So I am going to do the Northern lights Winter Trek 13th to the 17th March 2019. To help raise money for MIND (Solent). I know this will not be easy we will be trekking in temperatures between -2 and -5 degrees, so many people have already said that I am crazy because I have Arthritis in my ankles, Type 2 diabetes and last year had a partial knee replacement. My answer to them has been that people do things everyday that are in constant pain outside and inside. Yes I will be in pain I am under no illusion about how difficult this is going to be for me but I will do this because I am more determined than people give me credit for and it is for a good cause.
