Story

In October we unexpectedly lost my brother, Josh, due to cardiac arrest. I am going to be doing a charity Skydive on Sunday 24th April 2022 to raise money for North West Ambulance Service. The money raised supports NWAS by using the money towards various projects:

  • Outdoor seating for various ambulances stations across the North West.
  • Insulated water bottles for all staff and CFRs.
  • Resilience Programme for managers; a health and wellbeing initiative was launched to support managers during the recovery phase of COVID. A bespoke coaching transformation programme designed to improve resilience, performance and recovery of staff when working under pressure.
  • CFR training equipment and kits.
  • Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and Community Public Access Defibrillators (CPADs)
  • Dedicated welfare vehicles during the winter period and wave 2 of the pandemic were funded to provide ambulance staff with hot drinks and food at Emergency Departments during the winter period.
