Story
Hello there! My name's Lucy, I'm 15 and this year for Children In Need, I will be doing a long walk around Coate Water park lake.
However it will not be any regular walk. We shall be doing it in cosplay, and for those of you who don't know, Cosplay is the term used when people create costumes from movies, TV shows, video games, books and absolutely anything! We are all budding cosplayers and love what we do. We also happen to be huge Doctor Who fans, and since this year is the 50th Anniversary, we thought it'd be awesome to do our walk in our Doctor Who costumes.
Being in costume will make this walk all the more difficult, but that's excactly why we're doing it.
We will be doing our walk around Coate Water in Wiltshire, specifically around the lake. It's 1.75 miles to walk around, and takes around 45 minutes at a gentle pace. We'll be walking from 11am until 3pm (roughly) and to be able to do at least 5 laps would be brilliant. That's our aim! Remember, we're in costume! Wigs and all.
We are all big supporters of Children In Need and love what they do, and this is the reason we really want to do our part this year and make that difference.
We will be documenting our walk by taking lots of videos and photos to show you afterwards, so you can see what we put ourselves through!
If you could donate and help us raise money for Children In Need this year, it would mean the world. We're just a few geeks who want to raise money for a great cause.
Thank you!
