Hi, my name is Courtney McCarten, I am 18 years old from Stockton on Tees and I have just got through to Grand Final of Miss Tees Valley 2015. This is my first beauty pageant so it is going to be a whole new amazing experience for me!

I am going to be raising as much money as I can over the next 6 months for the Butterwick Hospice Care by doing all sorts of things! The Butterwick Hospice's mission is to care for as many people as possible who are living with a progressive life limiting illness. All of their services are free of charge and they not only care for the diagnosed but for their loved ones too. They rely on donations to help fund these wonderful services.

I have already completed a 5k Rainbow Run in Hamsterly Forest on the 17th May with my friend which was so much fun! Also, I bungee jumped 175 ft over the river Tyne on the 23rd August which was amazing! This is something that had been on my bucket list for years and having a charity to raise money for is an amazing opportunity to finally do it! I am taking part in the Big Butterwick Bike Ride which is 26 miles around Stockton on the 27th September! And of course there is my Halloween Charity Night on 30th October which I am so excited!!
