Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Paul, Fiona, Carl and Tracy are taking part in the Macmillan Lake District Mighty Hike on 13th July. Starting in Dalemain House in Cumbria the walk takes in mighty Ullswater, following the Ullswater Way to Lowther Castle. All in, 26 miles and around 9 hours of effort!

Crazy, so why do it? Macmillan is a charity close to our hearts. Millions of people every year are impacted by cancer, either directly or as a member of family and friends. In Pauls case, his Mum died of cancer at the age of 66  in January 2005. Macmillan where there for his Mum and the rest of the family throughout, providing practical and emotional support.

Macmillan Cancer Support are here to help you find your best way through from the moment of diagnosis, so you’re able to live life as fully as you can.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.

What's not to like? Please help us continue to focus our minds (and bodies). Every penny we raise will help us towards our £1000 target for the fantastic people at Macmillan.
