I've chosen to raise money for the Michael Palin Centre because of the brilliant work the Centre does for children who stammer. Our eldest son Charlie has been helped by the Michael Palin Centre and I'd like the chance to give something back! The centre is based in London and provides speech therapy services (specifically for stammering/stuttering) for children who live under the local health authority, but because they are widely recognised as the UK centre of excellence children get referred from all over the UK for one-off assessments, advice, help...anything they can do to help children overcome their stammer.
