Big Ibrox Sleep Out · 30 November 2017 to 2 December 2017 ·

The Rangers Charity Foundation helps to make the world of difference to thousands of lives. We are currently supporting our GCHC, Glasgow City Mission, SAMH, and various armed services-related charities, as well as delivering our own community work

Story

After years of putting it off, on Thursday 30th November I'll be taking part in the Big Ibrox Sleep Out.

I'll be spending the night sleeping outside at Ibrox either on the technical area pitch-side or in the stand (under cover) if the weather is wet and will get a small glimpse of the nightly conditions experienced by people who are street homeless.

It's an increasingly frustrating problem in this city that I always wish I could do more to help. With this, if you can donate any tiny amount you can towards combating a real growing problem that's right on our doorsteps I'd massively appreciate it. Genuinely, £2 would mean so much to me that you've taken the time to read this as well as do it.

This season Rangers Charity Foundation are supporting two important projects tackling homelessness, Glasgow City Mission and Simon Community Scotland, with proceeds from the Sleep Outs being split three ways between these charities and the Foundation’s work in the community.

Simon Community Scotland will put its share of the proceeds towards its new Street Cycles project - an outreach service staffed by volunteers on bicycles hoping to support 1,300 people currently sleeping rough.
