Geeketiquette's Charity Campaign

Geeketiquette's Charity Campaign · 23 July 2016
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For my first charity stream (23/07/2016), I am fundraising for the Depression Alliance (UK) and the DBSA (Depression Bipolar Support Alliance, US). This JustGiving page is for the Depression Alliance, UK. I have a GoFundMe setup for the DBSA.
Any donation will help towards doing great things for many, and should you not be in a position to donate, you can still make a massive difference by spreading the word. On behalf of myself and the charity, thank you so much.
As like millions of people in the UK and US, I have battled with depression and anxiety over the years. And so I want to use the tools that are given to us all for free, to raise awareness and try to help others who are either going through it themselves, or know someone that has. These two charities are amazing and have done incredible things to change people's lives.
~About The Depression Alliance~
Depression Alliance is the leading charity in the UK for anyone affected by depression, and we can help you meet and chat to others in your local area, join a self help group, and learn more about depression, treatment and recovery. We also campaign to end the stigma of depression and to raise awareness of what it means to live with it. With 1 in 5 people affected by the condition, it’s vital that our friends, family, workplaces and communities are providing the right support and understanding to help people get better and stay well. Depression Alliance has almost 40 years experience in working closely with healthcare professionals and government agencies, to improve local services and to ensure a healthier, happier life for the millions affected by depression.
