Last year I stumbled across something called CEO Sleepout & I vowed I would sign up and take part this year. Today - I did that! Homelessness in this country right now is, to put it mildly, very upsetting. CEO Sleepout is essentially that - voluntarily sleeping outside for one night. For too many people, this isn't a choice they have the luxury of making. High streets have as many homeless people than open shops. More and more people are "sofa surfing" as poverty grips large parts of communities, Universal Credit has rolled out to parts of our area and is making the situation wildly unmanageable for many households already in financial difficulty. I have had relationship breakdowns over the years which have left me in such situations, but I am lucky enough to say I've always had a roof over my head. If anyone would like to join me & my team (whoever that may be come November 12th!) then please drop me a message. The aim when signing up is to raise £1000 so this is my team's target - lets smash it!
