We are the largest charity dedicated to kidney research in the UK. Kidney disease ruins and destroys lives. Treatments are gruelling, relentless. There is no cure. We say this isn't good enough. We will transform kidney health. Kidney disease ends here.

My closest friend, Steven, came up with the idea of breaking a world record in 2011 and asked me if I would join him. I jumped at the chance as it has always been one of my ambitions and also it is for a great cause. Steven decided to go for the world record for The longest control of a table tennis ball with a Table Tennis bat. This also appealed to me as I used to play table tennis at a very high standard having studied at the prestigious Grantham College and played in the table tennis academy. I also represented Derbyshire.

Me and Steven also decided it would be a great idea to do it for charity. I’ve decided to raise money for Kidney Research UK as it has affected me and my family and would like to raise the awareness of kidney disease and would also like to raise plenty of money for them just to say a “thank you” to the people that have helped my dad (the legendary Moggy!) who is suffering from kidney disease. Me and Steven are aiming to raise the profile of this event and raise plenty of money along the way as well as having loads of fun. It will be a tough challenge and will take a lot of time and effort from both me and Steven but we are up for the challenge and have a great incentive in raising lots of money for our chosen charities. I’m sure me and Steven will be looking for helpers and volunteers along our journey so if anybody would like to help please feel free to contact us. Hopefully with plenty of practice playing with our balls and bats we’ll be able to do it!!!
