Story
On the 9th September I will be challenging myself to run up 42flights of stairs to then abseil down the cheese grater!!
You may ask yourselves, why am I doing this?
As many of you know I’m a physiotherapist, and a few months ago I rotated to work in the paediatric ICU and HDU, as well as our normal children’s ward. Here I have seen some of the rarest cardiac and respiratory complications of premature birth or from hereditary causes. When I saw this challenge it made me really want to give back to parents, mothers and families I see everyday going through hard times with their unwell babies. In addition it will be a great challenge for me physically as it’s not something I’ve ever done before.
The ‘skyscraper challenge’ is run by Tommys charity, which supports women who have pregnancy complications. Its aim is to continue raising money to fund research into saving more babies lives.
I would be really grateful to anyone who would sponsor my challenge, in order to raise money for this wonderful charity!

From a campaign that began in a spare cupboard in St Thomas’ Hospital, Tommy’s is now the largest UK charity researching the causes and prevention of pregnancy complications, miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth.
I'm supporting Tommy's to save babies' lives.1 in 4 parents lose a baby during pregnancy and birth. Tommys thinks that is unacceptable. Their mission is to stop miscarriage, preterm birth and stillbirth, by funding pioneering research and providing vital health information. Tommys believes that every baby lost is one too many. They exist to support, care for and champion people, no matter where they may be on their pregnancy journey. Please give generously to help us support this amazing charity to make the UK the safest place in the world to give birth for more families.
