We fund pioneering research to prevent sight loss and treat eye disease

Story

As many people will know I have keratoconus, a degenerative eye condition which means that despite having had several operations and wearing specially made contact lenses, my vision is still very poor, to the point where I am unable to drive.

Not much is known about keratoconus and there are very limited treatment options available on the NHS. Fight For Sight fund the majority of research into eye conditions in the UK and research is vitally important if the treatment of keratoconus and other eye conditions is going to improve.

Because this is such a personal issue for me, and because I'm so stupid, I have decided to go for an extreme challenge. Having never run a half marathon in my life, let alone a full marathon, I have decided to jump straight in with an ultra marathon! 100km = 2.5 marathons back to back. Because I'm even more stupid, I'm aiming to do it in 12 hours.

This is without a doubt going to be the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. Please sponsor me because I'm really going to earn it! Even running full marathons will become a regular thing just as part of my training! Please give as much as you can.

Thank you.
