Pancreatic Cancer Action is the only UK charity dedicated to saving lives through early diagnosis. Pancreatic cancer is the 5th biggest cancer killer and the 10th most common cancer in the UK. Your support means we can continue to raise awareness of the symptoms to ensure early diagnosis.

Story

Hello all, I will be running the London Marathon on Sunday 23 April 2017 in memory of my father and to raise as much as I can for Pancreatic Cancer Action. A charity that focuses on early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and improving the quality of life for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

Next year will mark the 10 year anniversary that he passed away from pancreatic cancer. With this in mind I would like to mark this with a fitting tribute in memory of him and to raise money to support those diagnosed and their families from this awful disease.

Currently there are over 9000 people newly diagnosed a year with pancreatic cancer, the charity looks to stamp out late detection which is the reason that the survival rate has remained at between 2%-4% for nearly 50 years.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my page, please donate any amount to support such a worthy charity and also spur my long winter days on the road ahead!
