On Saturday the 18th May while most of the UK is sleeping, I will be taking part in Europe's Toughest Mudder. Participants from all over the globe will be competing in a 12 hour endurance obstacle course race through the night. From 8pm to 8am, I will be trying to complete as many 5 mile laps as physically possible.
It is going to push me to my absolute limits, physically and mentally, and I'm doing all in aid of Pregnancy Sickness Support.

Pregnancy Sickness Support is a registered UK charity working to improve care, treatment and support for women suffering from Nausea and Vomiting in Pregnancy and the severe form of the condition; Hyperemesis Gravidarum.

Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) is a pregnancy complication that is characterized by severe nausea, vomiting, weight loss, and dehydration. The exact causes of hyperemesis gravidarum are unknown.

Some may of heard of Hyperemesis from when Kate Middleton was pregnant and why she was so ill during her pregnancy.

Hyperemesis is much more than 'Morning Sickness'. I have witnessed my Wife not able to move from the bathroom floor for days on end, and be in and out of hospital to have IV drips due to dehydration caused by HG.

Having recently found out we are expecting our 2nd child, we are having to go through the whole process again.

I feel more can be done to improve care, treatment and for there to be more of an understanding of Hyperemesis.I believe Pregnancy Sickness Support are in the best place to help do this.
