For the last two year I have been working  as a physiotherapy assistant in the Oxford Heart Centre at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Prior to this I was working as an exercise physiologist in cardiac rehab with heart failure patients in Australia. 

It can be easy to take your fitness for granted. I find walking an 80m lap of our wards a breeze, but with a heart condition it's not always that easy. So I'm going to be running a half marathon; something which I don't think will be quite so easy. 

I'm running a 21km race for the people that might struggle to walk 21m.
