Sophie Applewhite-Rees

Daniel Applewhite-Rees is raising money for Sue Ryder
In memory of Sophie Applewhite-Rees
Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Sophie was an amazing ray of sunshine who always put others first. Always brightened up the day of people she met and was so selfless in everything she did.

She has left us all far too early in life, as a doting mother she loved her boys so much. She was a daughter, a baby sister and a much loved aunty along with being a good friend to so many.

Sophie was my wonderful wife. I feel so lucky to have spent best part of 20years together, married for almost 15, travelled together and experienced so much over the years. Absolutely heartbroken she is no longer here along with the disbelief of it being real.

Sophie become unwell and sadly saw her last weeks out at Sue Ryder hospice. The Staff were amazing, so compassionate and gentle and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble and always had time for family members but mostly paying attention to Sophie and making her comfortable. The staff all had a soft spot for Sophie, even in the last few days Sophies charming endearing personality shone through.

Please help support this charity as they deserve every penny they can get to keep delivering the outstanding service. Without Sue Ryder the process and experience could have been very different for Sophie and our family and we are very grateful.
