Event: New York Half Marathon 2020
In memory of Maggie Carey

Story

I am running the New York Half Marathon on 15th March 2020, in memory of my Nanna, Maggie Carey who sadly passed away in January 2015.

Nanna was a dialysis patient at Addenbrookes Hospital for over 10 years.  Unfortunately when she got near to the top of the transplant waiting list, she had to have operations on her hip twice and she broke her leg twice.

Nanna was suffering from polycystic kidneys and liver.  These were the source of infections, which lead to a stroke and she died in Addenbrookes on 24th January 2015.

I am running the event with my mum Angela and our family friend Tracey and I am looking forward to the challenge.  If you could sponsor me, no matter how small I know it will make such a big difference to a small charity.
