Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

My friend Jeremy and myself have been hoping to hike the CDT from Mexico to Canada for some time.  We finally have the chance this year, but it seemed almost criminal to not use the opportunity to raise some money for a good cause.  Given the current concerns about our climate, 'One Tree Planted', an organization which has planted over 40 million trees around the world seemed an ideal choice.

We also have a fundraising page for a different cause, 'The Stroke Association'.  A close family member of mine has been stricken by two severe strokes this past year giving me the chance to see the devastation strokes cause up close, so we felt compelled to try to raise some money for this charity as well.  It is our hope that if you wish to donate to one of our Justgiving pages, at least one of the charities will appeal to you on a personal level.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

"We want to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees. Together we can restore forests, create habitat for biodiversity, and make a positive social impact around the world.  We plant one tree for every dollar donated." - One Tree Planted
