Story
Hello everyone,
As many of you will know my dad passed away in June 2023 after a short battle with cancer, leaving behind his partner, three sons, and five grandchildren. I have signed up for the Jurassic Coast Ultra 2024 100km continuous hike in his memory. This takes place on Saturday 18th May and I'll be joined by my brother Ben, and family friend Simon Kerley, and will be fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support. We will be setting off at 7am from Corfe Castle, and our route heads down to Swanage, and along through Lulworth Cove, past Durdle Door, on to Weymouth, past Portland Bill, along Chesil Beach, and on to West Bay, before we head to the finishing line in Bridport.
Macmillan provided great support to my dad in the last few weeks of his life, and helped make him as comfortable as possible. They were also a great comfort to us as a family which we were very thankful for during this incredibly difficult time. I've signed up for this challenge to show our appreciation to Macmillan as a family, as well as in memory of our dad, Barry.
I have pledged to raise £600 for Macmillan. I would really appreciate your support in helping me reach my goal. All donations - big or small - would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reading.
Dan and the team.
