Story
Danny Taylor and Liz Cussans have enjoyed 2 fantastic voyages on the Lord Nelson and met some truly inspiring people. As Danny has limited mobility due to an accident many years ago, this would not have been possible without the JST, the only organisation where mixed ability tall ship sailing can happen. Liz got taken along as a ‘buddy’ but also became hooked on the whole JST experience.
We now want to give something back and have decided to ride the Hull to Harwich cycle route (369 miles of the North Sea cycle route) this summer to raise money for this wonderful cause. Danny rides a hand-cycle and Liz rides a small folding bike which keeps better pace with Danny so we expect the whole trip to take about 10 days starting on Sunday 10 June 2012 leaving the centre of Hull in the morning and arriving (hopefully) on 20 or June in Harwich.
It costs £1million a year to keep Lord Nelson and Tenacious at sea - help us to help more people have the experience of a lifetime
