Event: IYF Mizen to Malin Head Charity Cycle
This September, 24 volunteers will cycle from the most southern point of Ireland to the most northern point of the country to raise vital funds the IYF. Both of these points are marked by famous lighthouses signifying beacons of hope.

Story

In 2019 I was inspired to cycle Paris2Nice for The Irish Youth Foundation and the Solas Project. The untimely death of Graham Jones in 2018, who dedicated his life to working with disadvantaged communities in Dublin, motivated me to support his work that is continued to this day by The Solas Project. Following the pandemic, the children and youth from our disadvantaged areas are in even greater need of our support.

I will be cycling from Mizen2Malin, 696km in six days, in September, in aid of the Irish Youth Foundation - whose funds continue to support the Solas Project and Graham's vision.

The charity is dedicated solely to meeting the needs of children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.Their recent Generation Pandemic Report has shown just how devastating the pandemic has been for those children and young people. We chose this route because lighthouses are guiding lights and beacons of hope. Supporting this cycle will help them to provide a brighter future for children across every point of Ireland.Futures are on the line. But, with your help, we can catch this.
