We exist to defend the right to a safe home and fight the devastating impact the housing emergency has on people and society. We believe that home is everything.

Story

Hi all, thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On the 15th March 2018, the five of us are going to be swapping the relatively small hills of Gedling parkrun, to race up Tower 42 in London. We will need to run up a total of 932 steps, up 42 floors, to complete this epic skyscraper challenge.

Sure, no problem! We just have to overcome a few issues. Lewis recovering from a serious running injury in time. Dave not being able to run up three flights of stairs at work without getting out of breath. Mostly not knowing how to train for this (anyone know of any skyscrapers in Nottingham?).

The reason we are doing this though, is to raise money for an amazing charity.  They do vital work to prevent and deal with homelessness, an issue which is more prominent than ever. Every day, 120 families in England become homeless and shockingly, every 21 minutes in London.

Please help us reach our sponsorship target and support the incredible work that Shelter do every day. Any amount towards this total will be greatly appreciated by Shelter and Team Mt. Gedling.

Thanks guys,

Dave, Nick, Pete, Lewis and Chris
