The Macular Society is the only charity determined to beat the fear and isolation of macular disease with world class research, and the best advice and support. Medical research will lead us to the cure we need to beat macular disease for the next generation.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page - Macular degeneration can strike at any time, and because it affects the sight can be completely debilitating for the sufferers.  Since starting fundraising for the Macular Society I am learning that lots of people I know suffer with this terrible sight disorder - I also remember my Grandad Len Marshall and Auntie Hilda Marshall both suffered from AMD in their later years.

Of course if that got you thinking about how precious your own sight is, then I'm sure you wouldn't mind contributing, even a small amount to this cause. Think of it as a downpayment on your own sight in future years - when the cure for Macular Degeneration is finally discovered.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure, and your details are safe. Your contribution goes directly to the charity - so it means I can spend more time training for the ride, rather than faffing around with paperwork :-)

Enjoy your summer now the sun decided to visit :-)
