Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Monika, Margaret and Janet all work at Carradice, the bicycle bag manufacturer based in Lancashire, UK. Their friend and colleague, Les ,has worked at Carradice for over 10 years. He cuts out all the leather straps used on Carradice saddlebags. Les is always around to make you smile or offer a friendly ear and his guitar playing at the annual Christmas do is legendary! Unfortunately Les's health has not been the best recently and he is currently under the care of Macmillan cancer nurses. He is still coming in to work though!

To show their support for Les and Macmillan Cancer Care they decided to undertake the tough Coast to Coast cycle route. This is a 140 mile (225km) route from Whitehaven in Cumbria to Tynemouth on the East coast, passing through the Lake district and over the remote Pennine hills on the way.

Undaunted the intrepid three have been busy training and tuning their bikes and bodies ready for the challenge. As well as regular riding there was a group training ride at the and of April and another planned in May for the final shakedown.

David Chadwick MD for Carradice will be providing mechanical/logistical/emotional support over the weekend of the ride June 10th - 12th.

Please consider if you can help and show your own support for their efforts and for the efforts of Macmillan Cancer Care. All donations however large or small are gratefully received.

Many Thanks!
