Story
This has not been easy to write and I have been putting it off.
Geraldine and I had decided that we wanted to do something this year in recognition of all of the people who had been affected by Cancer in both our lives. We chose the Macmillan Rob Roy Mighty Hike (from Callander to Killin) as a way to show remembrance, respect and support for those family and friends that we have lost to and those undergoing treatment for Cancer (and do a bit of fund raising along the way.) We started training in early February with our daily walks but sadly on the 17th Feb 2021 Geraldine suddenly and unexpectedly passed away.
We were on our walk and she never made it home!
So, on the 28th August this year Meg will take her Mum's place with me on the start line and we will be doing the Rob Roy Mighty Hike for not only all of those friends and family affected by Cancer but also for Geraldine.
Training has not been easy but hopefully we will have done enough to get through the walk (26 miles).
We have set up this just giving page if you would like to support us in helping Macmillan.
If you want to follow progress on the day I post a link here to keep track. Thanks, David.
