The London Marathon has been on my bucket list for some time now. The opportunity to participate in one of the greatest races in the world finally presented itself, and with it my goal to fund-raise for a cause I've long been passionate about.

750 million: roughly the population of Europe. 

It is also the number of people in the world who do not yet have access to clean, safe drinking water. 

Girls in developing countries are particularly affected by the crisis - routinely walk hours every day to collect water from unsafe sources which inevitably makes them and their families sick. 

These precious hours spent away from school funnel young women off into the world at a great disadvantage and frequently results in many of them not pursuing further education. 

Clean water and proper sanitation changes everything.
