Walk for Parkinson's - Oxford · 23 September 2018 ·

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We have become active supporters of Parkinson's UK since David was diagnosed as having the disease. PUK is sponsoring widespread research into searching for a cure and improving treatments. They also provide an extensive network of local groups, help lines and specialised nurses. Thankfully David is not too badly affected at the moment and is able to support the charity through the Kensington and Chelsea support group of which he is treasurer.

We plan to walk 4.5 miles around Oxford which is quite challenging as PD affects David's walking and Carolyn has had some surgery for an old skiing accident! Our son Simon is flying over from Sweden to support us.
