HCPT Group 41 is a
children's charity .  Every Easter, Group 41 takes 6 children to Lourdes,
France for a holiday.  The children are accompanied by around 16 helpers
including Nurses and a Doctor.  The children are disabled, have special
needs, under-privileged or have had a lot to cope with in their young
lives.  It is always a humbling experience for me to see these children
having a great time with a smile on their faces despite what they have to deal
with every day.  The helpers pay for themselves to go and Group 41
fundraise to take all the children which is usually around £700 per
child.  I have been involved with the charity since 2000 and can't
begin to explain what a special and important trip it is for the children and
helpers.

I am running the London Marathon on Monday 24^th April 2016 - 26.2
miles and hope to fundraise funds to pay for 2 children next year

Every penny counts, so if you
can spare any money to donate, however big or small, I would really
appreciate it.  When the pain/tiredness kicks in on the marathon, I would
love to have the incentive of the children at the back of my mind to help me
through!
