Over the last few years in my work at London 2012 I was closely involved in the development of the Food Vision.  For the first time ever, catering at a major event was going to take heed of environmental and ethical aspects of food production.  I was particularly struck by the passion and commitment of those campaigning for Fairtrade. 

We all enjoy our food and drink, but we also should appreciate the true value of it and recognise the need of producers - both at home and abroad - to make a fair living. Fairtrade is a great concept and I want to do my small bit to support this movement.
