In 2021, I am walking or running 1892 miles to raise money for The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. As a Newcastle United supporter, Sir Bobby Robson is hero of mine and gave me the best times supporting my club. I am sure there are many Newcastle United supporters who absolutely love Sir Bobby Robson and the memories which he gave us. However, Sir Bobby was not just a hero at Newcastle United, he was a hero at home and abroad with various clubs such as Fulham, Ipswich Town, PSV Eindhoven, Sporting Lisbon, Porto and Barcelona, as well as leading England to the 1990 World Cup semi final. 

However, as many are surely aware, Sir Bobby Robson suffered with cancer and it was this which encouraged him to set up the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation in order to raise funds to equip a new cancer drugs trials centre at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care in Newcastle upon Tyne. 

Most people or families have been affected by cancer at some point in their lives and I'm sure that everybody can agree that the fight against cancer is a worthwhile cause. Because of this, and my great memories of such a legend, I have decided to commit to this distance of 1892 miles, 1892 being the year in which Newcastle United were founded, over a course of 12 months to raise funds towards this great cause!
