Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 18th February 2017 I lost my Grandma who peacefully died in hospital after she took a fall outside her house. Fifteen years ago my Grandma had a stroke and battled on in life to live to the age of 82.
I am taking part in two massive challenges, one being an Ironman 70.3 triathlon, which consists of a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride and 13.1 run on June18th and the other being the Birmingham Marathon on the 15th October. Until my training I could not swim front crawl more than a length and the furthest I've ever run is a half marathon. As these two events are both huge I have decided to do them in the memory of my Grandma who's funeral wish was to have no flowers and for donations to go to the Stroke Association. The Stroke Association helped my Grandma for the last 15 years so I'd like to help them out as much as I can.
The events are going to be the toughest things I've ever done but hopefully I can get through them both knowing I'd have made my Grandma proud.
Thanks for helping. Dave :-)
