Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Marrie Curie JustGiving page.

I'm sure you know someone close to you who has battled against cancer. As many know it's a cause close to my heart, my mother and many close friends including neighbour Phil Lawson, Ian Rolph, Ieuan Evans and many others have battled against cancer.

The Sierre-Zinal race (40th edition), also called "The Race of Five 4000m Peaks," is considered to be one of the finest mountain races in the world. It was once written that it is to mountain races what the New York Marathon is to marathons. It is the oldest mountain race found in its category in Europe's mountains. This grulling rough track race of 2200m acent and 800m decent attracts an international field of competitors with the course record being just under 2 1/2 hours. Never mind style, I will be very happy if I finish!
