Story

David’s 76, former teacher/soldier and Lottie and his and lovely  Collie x Spaniel, live near Bridgwater and like to be out over nearby farmland in all seasons and weather.  David’s done a few London Marathons previously, plus other runs, sponsored  Commando Challenges, abseil off Hereford Cathedral, Black Death Runs, etc. Lottie loves  water and neither of them mind getting muddy.

They’re both slowing up a bit nowadays, so their cross-country Hospice marathon will be over about ten ten or a couple of weeks (subject to tidying the garden and fixing an old motorbike!).  David’s wife Gilly will be keeping an eye on progress, updating their progress .... and putting their kit in the washing-machine, so as ever, huge thanks for her help and support.

Thanks in advance to family, friends and anyone who recognises the essential help which Hospices offer to patients and families when needed.  Let’s especially recognise that in these unprecedented times, St. Margaret’s still steps up to the plate and it’s staff and volunteers are still here for us.

In comparison, 26 muddy miles isn’t much but whatever donation you feel able to make is crucial to St. Margaret’s work, so thank you all so much for your generosity.
