Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My mantra with the RAF Air Cadets is to take every opportunity on offer and push your boundaries.  Unfortunately,  plans to do the 3 Peaks Challenge (Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon) fell through due to last minute staff injury.  But that was a training weekend for a longer expedition to Switzerland in Aug so I have decided to switch my fundraising to that in order to raise funds for the RAF Air Cadet Development Trust, which funds bursaries for older cadets and junior adult volunteers to pursue professional and personal development. If every ATC Sqn and CCF (RAF) Section donates just £1, I can fund a £1200  bursary; if they give more, more cadets and volunteers can be supported.  Just as important, knowing I have sponsors who have committed money to this cause will motivate me to keep going when the going gets tough - and I have been warned by many that it will get very tough!  Due to my crazy work schedule, I have had limited training time but I will do my best to complete the 80km trek over 5 days and raise as much as I can for our amazing young people and their instructors.  Venture Adventure is the ATC motto and I hope to live up to it.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
