So in a moment of madness I somehow managed to agree to throw myself out of a plane !  

The reality is that it was not complete madness when  I signed up  , it was a considered decision due to a  desire to give something back,  having  seen first hand the fantastic support that our local Age UK - Lincoln and South Lincolnshire offer in this area . I really had no idea the extent of what  they do to support older people in our community until recently when we needed it.

My own mum , relatives and friends have benefited from the services they provide and it has made a huge difference to their lives , helping maintain independence and meet with others for company and support . This has meant so much to us as a family too.

It is really important to me that the local branch of this charity receive the money so that they continue and develop all the support services they provide for increasing numbers of older people , who either need a bit of support or company or who need a whole range of services to support them in having the best life they can have .

AGE UK LSL offers a huge variety of services to people age 50+ range from our incredible, completely free Information & Advice service which saw our advisors help service users reclaim over £1.1 million last year, to vital befriending services ensuring no one is alone.WHAT CAN YOU DO?- £5 will pay for a befriender to visit and help alleviate loneliness for one day.- £10 provides benefit advice to help older people have enough money for heating.- £20 pays for a volunteer to visit an isolated individual once a week for an entire month.
